The surfing was totally tubular in Hampton over the holiday weekend and it is expected that a number of people will be out catching waves again on Saturday.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Sarah Jamison said after the rain on Friday, there is a good chance there will be some big waves on Saturday.

"We are looking at waves building probably in the four to six foot range," Jamison said. "We're going to have to pay attention to the evolution of that system. There is a chance they could end up being higher."

For people who are on vacation and looking to hit the beach, Wednesday is looking fairly nice with temperatures in the 80s, Jamison said.

The chance of rain on Wednesday is 20 to 30 percent.

On Thursday, the chances of rain increase in the afternoon to 50 to 60 percent, Jamison said.
