Ready for Season 48 of ‘Survivor’? You Can Root for These 2 People from New England
"Survivor" returns for its 48th season on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and there are two players from New England among the new cast who will be fighting to become the sole winner.
Do they have what it takes to live out their days on the island and dodge being voted off?
Time will tell, but how exciting is it to have some New England people in the mix for the latest iteration of the popular reality TV game show?
"Survivor" Season 48 New England Cast
Parade.com revealed the "Survivor" Season 48 cast in early February, and seven of the 18 contestants are from California.
Seems like a lot, right?
Well, New England has two states represented in this early 2025 season: Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
According to People, Justin Pioppi is from Winthrop, Massachusetts, and the manager of a family-run pizzeria, Luigi's in Revere.
In an interview with Parade, the 29-year-old Yale grad talked about wanting to play "Survivor" for his mom and hopefully win the million dollars so she can retire.
Eva Erickson, whose hometown is in Minnesota, is currently living in Providence, Rhode Island, and is the other New England player for season 48, according to People.
In her interview with Parade, the 24-year-old talks about living with autism, her passion for hockey and working to get a PhD at Brown.
Fingers crossed for the two of them that they make it far into the game. New England represent!
But where are the New Hampshire and Maine players?
The last New Hampshire person to compete on the show was Paralympian Noelle Lambert, who appeared in season 43 in 2022.
As for Maine? The last person from the Pine Tree State was Dan Foley, who appeared in 2015 on the 30th season, "Survivor: Worlds Apart." That was 10 years ago!
