A woman from Derry crashed into the side of the southbound Interstate 93 rest area in Hooksett Monday morning.

New Hampshire State Police said Mbombo Kalala Mutombo, 65, was trying to park her 2021 Nissan Rogue when she accelerated into the building at its southern end around 10:25 a.m. Mutombo was the only person in the SUV.

No one inside the building was injured. The building is open as usual for travelers.

Investigators said inexperience and operator error are likely to blame for the crash. No charges have been filed.
