Firefighters helped out as nearly 1,000 kids age 5-11 in Rochester and Dover were vaccinated against COVID-19 in clinics held at public schools in the district.

One thing Gov. Chris Sununu will not be bringing back is a statewide mask mandate. He said communities and businesses already have the ability to institute their own mask rules.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover said it had 34 COVID+ inpatients Tuesday, an all time pandemic high for the hospital. 3

Numbers are rising in northern New England especially when compared to last fall even with 60%-70% of the population vaccinated

The new rules are suspended for the moment as a federal court said there are "grave statutory and constitutional issues with the mandate."

Attorney General John Formella said the mandate would impose a major burden on New Hampshire businesses and employees obligating him to take action.

Sen. Maggie Hassan also got the Dept. of Health & Human Services to monitor the slow turnaround on COVID-19 test results.

Gov. Chris Sununu during a COVID-19 briefing on Tuesday said there will be plenty of vaccine supply for children and urged parents to get their children vaccinated although he will not mandate it.

"This lawsuit is being filed to protect the state of New Hampshire from the federal government’s attempt to impose illegal mandates," NH Attorney General John M. Formella said.

The state has pre-ordered 15,000 children's doses which will be available to providers once the CDC approves its use.
