The family described losing the business as comparable to Susan Sforza Nico's death, as it has been a big part of the lives of family members since the 1960s.
"The Seabrook Station team is conducting a thorough investigation and we will take actions to ensure this situation does not happen again," Site Vice President Brian Booth wrote in a letter to Governor Chris Sununu.
The Sforza and Nico families said on the Byfield Greenhouse Facebook page that the charge fits what was taken from them by a "careless, reckless driver."
Samples taken by the New Hampshire DES at the New Castle town beach, the beach at Kingston State Park, and Seabrook Harbor beach all came back with results that exceeded the state standard for fecal bacteria.
The rules limit the interaction that customers will have with workers, and ask specifically for no photos, videos, or questions about Saturday's incident.
