A hospital security worker from Farmington died as the result of injuries after allegedly being assaulted by a New Durham man at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Amid a COVID-19 outbreak at the county jail, Strafford County Administrator Ray Bower also confirmed he tested positive for coronavirus.

The facility said it plans to conduct another round of testing Thursday and Friday with results expected within 5-7 days.

The school board was also provided with an update on COVID-19 and its impact throughout the Dover School District.

Joshua McCarthy allegedly collided with another vehicle near Washington Street and Fillmore Boulevard on the evening September 19 in Rochester.

Advisories were issued Monday until 11:45 a.m. for parts of Rockingham and Strafford Counties in New Hampshire, as well as parts of York County in Maine.

John Wood, 24, of Rochester, was also indicted on several similar charges in October related to a separate investigation.

With warm weather flooding New Hampshire, drought conditions are expected to persist.

All three cases are part of the same "cohort," a group of students accessing on-site learning resources together.
