Sadly, many educators are underpaid and overworked, especially here in Maine, which WalletHub just named the worst state for teachers in 2024.

A new study shows that a large portion of the working population in Maine is overworked, exhausted, and depressed.

Based on six key criteria points, a small town of barely 1,000 residents was named the "worst" in Maine for 2022.

WalletHub did some serious number-crunching, comparing all 50 states and D.C. across 32 different metrics of quality and safety.
