Three Restaurants Top National List for the Most Beautiful Views in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts

Which would you rather have: incredible views during your dining experience, or excellent decor and food?  For me, if I'm eating a mouthwatering lobster roll dockside overlooking the water on a picnic table from a food truck, I'm happy purely because of the view.  That in itself is memorable.  Of course if the food was horrendous, I'd probably still go back for the view, but stick with liquid deliciousness only.

Anyway, my point is that views can make a difference for so many of us when it comes to dining out.  It's not so much that we seek them out, but when we find a restaurant with a view, we tend to return because it's such a feast for the eyes.

Hawaiian Islands decided to look into the restaurants in each state that have the most breathtaking views.  The simple study comes from Tripadvisor, and mentions that to absolutely no ones surprise, views from skyscrapers and the waterfront top the list.

So when it comes to New England, we definitely have the waterfront views cornered along with most coastal states and regions.  I'm going to be honest and say that while these three have fabulous views, I'd venture to say that many other's rival with similar views. This is New England, after all.  That said, these most likely made the list because they're deliciously popular outside of the views, since they're from Tripadvisor.

New Hampshire

Surf in Portsmouth took home the most beautiful views for the Granite State.  It is a popular fine dining place with stunning views of the water. The restaurant is situated right on Martingale Wharf on the famous Bow Street where the decks are everything in the late spring, all summer, and most of fall.

Just scrolling at the Trip Advisor reviews, you see nothing but five stars for the food and waterfront view.

Massachusetts

Rooftop Boston views or even the Berkshires didn't top the list for the Bay State.  I'm not too surprised, because I was expecting waterfront for here. Instead, we have to travel to Martha's Vineyard for the most beautiful view in Massachusetts.

The Seafood Shanty in Edgartown is a totally casual, waterfront restaurant that garnered top reviews for its sweeping water views on Tripadvisor, according to the Hawaiian Islands research.

Maine
