A recorded message from the National Weather Service warned listeners on Tuesday evening of severe thunderstorms in the Hampton Beach area.

"Hampton Beach is getting a storm right now," Meteorologist Michael Clair told Seacoast Current at 5:55 p.m.

Clair said they were also tracking storms in northeastern Massachusetts.

The recorded warning told listeners that potentially damaging hail could fall as the storms roll through.

Clair said they were tracking storms in the Lakes Region, as well as the Nashua region, of New Hampshire on Tuesday.

There was also some weather activity in Concord, Clair said.

The severe thunderstorm warning for the Hampton area was expected to expire at 6:15 p.m.
