A significant winter storm raging through the northeastern U.S. has forced parking bans across several Seacoast municipalities as well as statewide closures of COVID-19 vaccination sites in New Hampshire, including some on the Seacoast.

Parking bans

On the New Hampshire Seacoast, parking bans were issued in Dover, Hampton, Portsmouth, Raymond, Somersworth and North Hampton, among others. Parking bans were also issued in other Seacoast area municipalities such as York and Newburyport in Maine and Massachusetts, respectively.

In Raymond, trash and recycling pick-up, normally scheduled for Tuesday, will be delayed by at least one day. The same goes for Plaistow.

Vaccine interruptions

The storm also prompted New Hampshire health officials to cancel all COVID-19 vaccination appointments scheduled for Tuesday. State health officials were reportedly asking those with appointments to reschedule either Monday or at another convenient time, according to a post from the Portsmouth Department of Public Works.

New Hampshire's two state testing sites in Concord and Londonderry were closed due to the impending storm.

Latest snowfall projections

The latest snowfall projections to the Seacoast, according to WMUR, predict anywhere from 6-18 inches for the coastal areas of New Hampshire, as well as southern Maine and northeastern Massachusetts.

Portsmouth, Newburyport and York are currently hovering in the 6-11 inch zone, while Dover, Rochester and Epping sit on the 12-18 inch area, per WMUR.
