Owner Jim Collins, a ballroom dancer for 20 years, says he opened Fox Run Dance Hall as a way to reconnect with his friends in the dance world during our pandemic and to his surprise, it took on a life of its own.
You see, it started as a free, 8 week, line dance class outdoors in a parking lot behind the Rite Aid in Portsmouth in 2020, just to shake off the cobwebs and have an outlet for fun in our challenging and unusual, sometimes turbulent COVID climate.
Then, in March of 2021, it turned into his current space in the Fox Run Mall in Newington as a budding community of dancing.
A big part of Jim's model is creating entrepreneurial opportunities. His instructors rent the space. Which, by the way, sidebar, if you're a dancer ready to teach some moves, Jim says you can reach out to him anytime at seacoastlinedance@gmail.com.
For class times and more, you can jump on his website, Fox Run Dance.
