The holiday spirit is something that does not really go away. Many people love to celebrate the Christmas holiday twice a year, in July and in December. That is why "Christmas in July" is widely celebrated.

Well, you do not have to travel too far if you want to celebrate Christmas in July. There is a unique experience that will be right here in Maine. Do you enjoy Christmas lights and boats? Well, if so you are in luck this month.

The 3rd annual Christmas in July Boat Parade presented by the Naples Marine Safety Division and Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce will be happening in Naples, Maine. The parade will take place on Saturday, July 23rd, and start at Brandy Pond and continue to Long Lake.

Of course, since the boats are going to be decorated with Christmas lights, the parade will occur at night rather than during the day. You can listen to some amazing music, see a colorful array of lights, and holiday decorated boats starting at 8:15 pm.

If you are looking for a good spot to view the Christmas boat parade, you may want to head to the Causeway viewing area (if you do not have a boat). If you have a boat, you can register your boat for free and plan your decorations and costumes. You can register your boat for the event here.

As mentioned before, this is the 3rd annual Christmas in July Boat Parade, the first year had 48 boats and the second year only got bigger with 63 boats, so who knows how many boats will light up the waters that night.

You can dress up in your holiday favorites and bring the family to see some Christmas lights in July and get into the holiday spirit early this year.
