Exeter, New Hampshire, is getting a brand new restaurant called Rue according to a Lifestylee article.

This announcement first came to my attention when I was on the website for one of Portsmouth, New Hampshire's coolest restaurant's, Street.

"We are psyched about becoming a part of the Exeter community! We anticipate opening Spring of 2022 at 8 Clifford Street. If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, please fill out one of the forms below."

If you live on the Seacoast and have not had Street, you need to. This is one the most authentic and creative street food restaurants you'll find.

My opinion of good food doesn't much matter; however, Street has enough clout to boast for themselves. They have been featured on the Phantom Gourmet, Drive-ins, Diners and Dives (Season 25, Episode 6), and The Best Things in New Hampshire, according to their website.

Patrick Ballentyne, one of Street's dishwashers nearly 10 years ago, has recently worked his way up from dishwasher to part owner. With the exiting new ownership and the recognizable growth that Street has had, it was time to expand their eclectic street food to other areas in New England.

This new, second location is in Exeter, and will be opening where the former Blue Moon Evolution restaurant once was.

"The building has intelligent bones and is completely modern with wonderful power," said partial owner Jay McSharry to Lifestylee. "Blue Moon has been just wonderful for Exeter and has brought power to the city and space. I think Exeter is in a position for that."

Rue will have a similar menu to Portsmouth's Street. This will include empanadas, cemitas, Korean bibimbap, Vietnamese bowls, and more.

"Exeter has a lot of young families and then there are the academics and teachers at Phillips Academy who I think will enjoy it," said McSharry to Lifestylee. "We have bigger tables for organizing meetings...the décor will be great as in the Portsmouth place to eat and we will go up a bigger bar."

Exeter, you are getting a phenomenal restaurant with Rue. I will see you there, I promise.

Rue is expected to open in May of 2022.
