We've been hearing about this for months and months, and it now appears it will actually become a reality.

Ogunquit is one of those places brimming with charm and beauty, just as you'd expect from a quintessential New England coastal town.  There are beautiful flowers everywhere, lovely shops throughout the downtown, fantastic restaurants, the famous Ogunquit Playhouse, and a piano bar and restaurant that's a crowd favorite.

That piano bar and restaurant is called The Front Porch, and has been a sure sign the spring season is here.  A staple for 35 years, The Front Porch features an award-winning restaurant, great food, specialty dinners, wine tastings, private events, the bar-lounge, and the piano bar, which is a rousing success.

C'mon, who doesn't love a good piano bar? No one.

Owner Scott Vogel has been approved by the Town of Ogunquit to move forward with plans for a third floor rooftop bar with ocean views and a new kitchen.

Facebook comments have been exciting since the news broke on seacoastonline.com.

Can't wait. One of our favorite places in Ogunquit.

A piano too.  Looking forward to it.

Guess we'll have to go back for another girls weekend.

I think Ogunquit is our spot this summer.

The idea of a rooftop bar is not new, but it is for this happy town which thrives on music, food, and laughter. Check out their general store for swag.  Here's to a great summer and year in Ogunquit, Maine.
