This kid is nothing short of inspirational.

Scarlett, also known as 'Little Foot' (love the Land Before Time reference), has hiked all 48 of New Hampshire's 4,000 footers. She's faced the steep elevation, rough and rugged terrain, rocks and boulders, varying weather conditions, and every natural obstacle you can imagine as she conquered the mountaintops with her family.

The kicker? She's only 5 years old.

A quick search in The 4,000 Footer Club-Climbing and Hiking in New Hampshire Facebook group pulls up tons of images of Scarlett's hiking adventures with her family.

Standing at just 3 1/2 feet tall, young Scarlett was determined to conquer the 48 mountains before her fifth birthday. This past fall, she officially achieved her goal.

It's hard to describe just how incredible this accomplishment is. Many adults have yet to complete these hikes, and others (slowly raises hand) feel intimidated by any mountain that isn't Mount Major.

So, how did Scarlett become interested in hiking? This post by Julia Midura to the 4,000 Footer Facebook Group explains more about the young girl's backstory, and boy is it inspiring. In addition to Scarlett's impressive hiking feats, it turns out she's also overcome numerous health obstacles.

Is there anything that Little Foot can't do?

Scarlett's grandmother Kimberly hopes that her granddaughter's story will inspire others, and teach them that you can overcome obstacles and achieve your goals even at a young age.

As for what's next? Kimberly says that Scarlett now wants to tackle all 48 mountains again, but in the winter. She also hopes to hike all the mountains in the NE67 (she's already gotten started in Vermont), and is set to hopefully achieve this goal by summer.

This is only the beginning for the courageous Little Foot, and we can't wait to see the amazing things that she will achieve.
