After about a one-year hiatus, Lexie's Burger Joint reopened its fourth restaurant in the chain, located in Newburyport, Massachusetts.

Newburyport's Lexie's Joint is one of three full-time Lexie's chain locations. Current full-time locations can be found in Newburyport, Dover, and Portsmouth. Lexie's also has a seasonal location in Newington, NH.

With three New Hampshire locations, Massachusetts burger lovers were missing out until Newburyport was added back into the chain!

As the COVID-19 pandemic grew and hit the United States service industry, many restaurants and small businesses struggled to stay open, meet guidelines, and staff at a full capacity in a safe way.

Lexie's went through the same struggle in Newburyport. The Dover and Portsmouth locations were able to continue operations; however, Newburyport's location was forced to close temporarily.

Fear no more, North Shore burger-eating beings - Lexie's is BACK!

The reopening kicked off Thursday, March 5, 2022, after a year of searching for the right staffing.

According to the Newburyport Daily News, Newburyport native Justin Lavoie will be taking control as the manager of the Northshore Lexie's' location.

Located on 88 State St. in Newburyport, MA, Lexie's will be operating on a limited schedule and a limited menu. The limited menu will “consist of some Lexie’s classics, as well as some new twists,” executive chef Tucker Plimpton said to the Newburyport Daily News.

The limitations are due to staffing, the reason they temporarily closed in the first place.

Currently operating with four or five employees, the Newburyport Lexie's Joint will serve Thursday and Friday, 3 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
