It's not an exaggeration to say that almost everyone's lives includes the use of some apps on our smartphones. Whether it's checking in on friends through Facebook and Instagram, banking, navigation, or playing 10 levels on Candy Crush, smartphone apps have become a large part of American culture. But not everyone is down with every app. According to PC Mag, some exhaustive research has revealed which apps every state hates the most. And it shouldn't come as a surprise that Maine hates the most popular app in the world right now.
Based on the results from PC Mag, Maine split its hatred between two different apps. As it turns, Maine is the only state in the country with a firm hatred of both. First on the list is TikTok, which has skyrocketed in popularity to become the most accessed app in the world. Despite all that popularity, Maine isn't impressed. Perhaps the average age of the Pine Tree State plays into that hatred. Whatever the reasoning is, there is no other state in the country that despises TikTok as much as Maine.
But it wouldn't be Vacationland if we didn't hate something else equally as much. Maine is also the only state in the country to take a firm stance on the Amazon Prime video app. The Prime video app definitely has its problems, with slow load times and crashing issues, but nobody around the country seems to care as much about those problems as people from Maine do.
So, what's the most universally-hated app in the United States? That would be Tinder, which topped the list for 16 different states around the country.
