The Plum Island Provisions store in Newbury, Mass sold a scratch ticket from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Massachusetts Millionaire's Club" and it was a million-dollar winner, according to a Facebook post!  The customer already claimed the money and the store will receive a $10,000 bonus!  Nice!

According to the Mass Lottery, there are 8 million dollar lottery tickets that could win you a million and the odds are one out of 2,016,000.  So, all in all, not a bad payday for the person who bought the ticket and for the store!

According to an article from December 2019 from cnbc.com, Americans spend over $1,000 per year on lottery tickets.  To me, that seems like a low number.  Seems that everytime I go in to the gas station to grab a soda for my ride home, I am in front of "that guy" who says,
