Over 2,600 Central Maine Power customers in Wells started the day without power, according to the utility's outage list.

The outages were mostly along Atlantic Ave, with over 300 customers affected, and Post Road, with 307 customers in the dark. Central Maine spokeswoman Emily Downing told Seacoast Current that all power was restored by 5:30 a.m., but a cause of the outage has not been determined.

"We are currently investigating the cause. We patrolled by foot early this morning, but are following up now that it’s light out," Downing said in an email.

Central Maine Power serves 10,678 total customers in Wells.
