Ring in the New Year With $441million Powerball Jackpot
Someone on the Seacoast could end the year a lot richer than they began it by hitting the Powerball jackpot Wednesday night.
The multistate game has gone 36 drawings in a row since October without a ticket sold matching all five numbers plus the Powerball. The jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing is $441 million with a cash value of $317.5 million. Increased play could grow the final amount by the time the winning numbers are drawn at 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
The Mega Millions jackpot grew following Tuesday's drawing to $221 million ($159.6 million cash). The numbers drawn were 3-5-8-31-38 and Mega Ball 4.
2020 A Lucky Year for NH Powerball, Mega Millions Players
New Hampshire players have won smaller prizes of at least $1 million six times in 2021 playing Powerball and sister game Mega Millions.
Two Powerball tickets worth one million each were played in New Hampshire for the drawing of July 10. One was sold at Winners Corner on Mast Road in Manchester while the other ticket that included a Power Play was played on the NH iLottery platform.
The others were sold a $2 million ticket for the January 16 drawing at Gomarlos in Swanzey, another for $2 million at Sun Mart in Milford for January 23, and a ticket worth $1 million at Hampstead Variety in Hampstead was sold for May 22.
Three Mega Millions players on the New Hampshire Lottery iLottery platform have won $1 million prizes in 2021.
