The Circle Contestants
It's only happened one other time in the history of the hit Netflix show The Circle (well, technically it's happened twice but Connecticut is the black sheep of New England), but the current season of The Circle, which debuted last Wednesday, December 28, has a contestant from New England.
Xanthi on The Circle
25-year-old Xanthi Perdikomatis is from Massachusetts and the very first cast member introduced on Season 5 of The Circle. Even though Xanthi is a professional model, she decided to enter the show slightly catfishing the rest of the cast, presenting herself as a preschool teacher.
The reason? She mentioned that models that have appeared on the show in the past don't really have a great track record, which is true, since they're usually eliminated early on in the season, if not the first to go.
Even though Xanthi was the first cast member introduced for Season 5, she's not the first New Englander to be on the show. Back in the first season of The Circle, then-29-year-old Seaburn Williams was cast on the show.
Like Xanthi, Seaburn decided to play a catfish role, but in a much deeper way than Xanthi is this season. Instead of just fibbing a bit about his career, Seaburn lied about his entire personality overall.
Seaburn actually entered The Circle as his girlfriend, Rebecca.
Seaburn actually made it all the way to the final episode of Season 1 as Rebecca, but finished in fifth place overall.
More episodes of The Circle dropping soon
If you've already binged the first four episodes of Season 5 of The Circle that dropped last Wednesday, then you already know what the current status of Xanthi is on the show. If you haven't watched it at all yet, no worries, there won't be any spoilers in this post.
However, if you're waiting for more episodes of Season 5 to drop, you won't have to wait long. There are four more episodes dropping tomorrow (Wednesday, January 4).
After that, according to Netflix Life, four more episodes will drop on Wednesday, January 11, with what looks like the final episode dropping on Wednesday, January 18.
