Yum!  It's always exciting to hear about new restaurants opening up, because if there's one thing we humans love universally, it's eating.  And when it's an award-winning, internationally-recognized chef's new restaurant, then bring it.

You most definitely want to add this latest gem in the Granite State to your restaurant tasting endeavors.  It's called Ansanm, and it's all about celebrating Haitian food and the deliciousness that hails from the Caribbean.  It's in Milford, New Hampshire, and the cozy feel of this restaurant exemplifies the exciting, innovative flavors you'll find on this menu.

And this isn't just any restaurant.  2022 James Beard Semifinalist Chris Viaud is the proud owner and chef of Ansanm, which means "together" in Haitian Creole.

Ansanm was born out of successful pop-up dinners that Chris and his team operated around the Milford and surrounding areas because they wanted to introduce Haitian cuisine to the community.  It has been so successful and applauded for its unique, comfort food feeling, that a brick and mortar was most definitely warranted, and is now officially open.

If you recognize Chris's name, it's because he is also the chef and owner of the seasonally inspired, locally sourced, award-winning, Greenleaf.  Originally from suburban Boston where Chris' parents immigrated to from Haiti, Ansanm feeds his creative soul, and he wants to share with you.  And just like his concept behind Greenleaf, Chris' approach to this casual dining experience is rustic comfort food, using his classic techniques driven by locally grown and seasonal products.
And what a perfect time to experience it in fall, 2022.  So, jump in your car and head to 20 South Street in Milford.  Your taste buds will thank you.
