Okay, this post will solidify it.
In 2023, I will be expanding my restaurant selections in New Hampshire.
If you're anything like me, you know there are TONS of great food options in New Hampshire, but you only go to a small percentage of them. Like, 10%? That's bad.
And I will be the first to admit it. Friday date night comes around, and my wife and I chat about where we want to eat. We always do the token "should we try______", and always end up saying, "another night, let's stick to what we know."
Well guess what? Not this year.
This year I am vowing to try 10 new restaurants, and I implore you to join me in the task.
Restaurants come and go. That's the name of the game. It's the business.
Depending on where you live, your town may have more or less new restaurants than others. The Portsmouth area, for example, frequently has new restaurants coming and going.
Between Dover, Newmarket, Portsmouth, Exeter, and Epping, the area is loaded with food spots that have been established and are not moving, and also new eateries that are expanding to the growing Seacoast.
For example, there's Street's new restaurant in Exeter. If you have never eaten at Street, do it. They've got amazing, crafty, and delectable food items. And the restaurant is different than anything else here.
But it is not just new restaurants. Sometimes a restaurant has been in an area for some time, but off the beaten path. Those are the restaurants that deserve a try.
So that is my New Years resolution. I want to find 10 new restaurants and give them a go. Old or new, I want to expand where I eat.
Using my platform, I asked you. My people.
Where are you trying this year? What new or old restaurants are you dying to try?
