Trick or Treating in New Hampshire Is on for 2021: Here’s How to Get Prepared
Trick or treating is back this year!
Are you ready for the trick or treaters? Are your kids excited this year? It will be much different from the past two years, but we still need to take caution. The CDC put out a great graphic guide for families about keeping safe this Halloween season.
How to prepare
WMUR.com put out a great link that gathered all the time that towns in our area have posted for trick or treating which is super helpful. Kids are super excited about going door to door this year but it’s wise to take a few precautions because the kids under 12 still are not vaccinated and the kids that get most excited for Halloween are usually the kids under 12.
My wife still gets as excited as a 6-year-old.

Safety tips
It’s a good idea to have a treat station outdoors and greet the kids from a distance of 6 feet. Another wise idea is to have a bowl of individually bagged treats for the kids to take.
As always, even if you are vaccinated, the CDC recommends you wear a mask whether you are handing out treats or taking the kids door to door.
Remember, a Halloween mask is NOT a substitute for a cloth mask. Keep a bottle of hand sanitizer with you. Try and stay 6 feet from other trick or treaters and their grownups.
I always wore reflective clothing when taking my kids out because it tends to get dark quickly. Let’s have a safe Halloween this year.
