Well, friends, it's officially the end of an era.

As you've probably heard, the Christmas Tree Shops chain will be closing all their locations nationwide after "defaulting on a loan as part of its bankruptcy deal," according to Seacoast Current.

That means that the remaining stores in Portsmouth, Salem, Nashua, and North Conway, New Hampshire, will soon be no more. At the time of this writing, Christmas Tree Shops has announced closing sales of up to 50% off, with new merchandise continuing to arrive.

Yours truly is among the countless shoppers who are bummed by the announcement of the chain's closure. When it came to home decor and furnishings, Christmas Tree Shops was the perfect place to go, especially during the holidays. The seasonal options were truly top notch.

But let's zero in on the Portsmouth, New Hampshire, location for a second.

Up until recently, the Portsmouth Christmas Tree Shops was located in the same plaza as one other business: Bed Bath & Beyond. For those of you who haven't heard, that chain ALSO closed its doors to the public this year after filing for bankruptcy. Once Christmas Tree Shops is no more, that will leave us with an empty plaza just off the Spaulding Turnpike and Woodbury Avenue. Not a bad location, right?

So let's do some brainstorming. What business(es) would you like to see set up shop in the Christmas Tree Shops (and Bed Bath & Beyond) plaza? We decided to go on Facebook to ask for your thoughts, and these were some popular responses.
