Every small town in America needs a hometown coffee and pastry shop, and South Berwick just got lucky with the new addition of Aubrey’s Coffee House and Bakery.

Located in the charming Punkintown Place center adjacent to Marshwood High School, owner Aubrey Blanchette hopes to create a cozy setting of people to dine, congregate, and feel at home.

The bakery will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, April 3.

“The space is ideally located,” Blanchette mused. “We’re near the high school and a dance studio, so this is a perfect place for students to hang out after school, or for parents to relax while their child is taking a dance lesson.”

At the young age of 22, Blanchette has put together an impressive pastry portfolio. The South Berwick native started her own cupcake business, Baking by Blanchette, when she was only 14. Along the way, she has learned the ins and outs of the industry by working for employers such as Popovers on the Square and Starbucks.

Blanchette always keeps the pastry case stocked with sweets such as her signature cupcakes, whoopie pies, and brownies.

“I also have a dedicated gluten-free case,” Blanchette added. “There is a separate area in our kitchen where we prepare these special foods for our customers.

Aubrey’s Coffee House and Bakery is located at 2 Punkintown Road, Suite 220, in South Berwick, Maine. Grab ‘n Go orders can be placed at 207-704-0174.
