Books and Booze: These Library-Themed Bars in New England Bring a Novel Twist

There are many themed bars all over the world, from arcade bars, to horror bars, and even tiki-themed bars.
I recently was searching for a bar to go to and came across a themed bar that I had never seen before: a library or book-themed bar. Of course, my inner book-loving self had to search to see if there was more than one, and I found that there are actually a couple in New England.
If you love to read or just be surrounded by books, imagine sitting back with a book and drink in your hand (plus having some food). Sounds pretty great, right?
Whether you want to be in a library or bookstore atmosphere, there is a place in New England where you can do that with a drink in hand.
Study Hall 101
Located at 101 Kingston Collection Way in Kingston, MA, this place will make you feel like you are back in your college days. According to their website, Study Hall 101 is a library-inspired restaurant and bar. Study Hall 101 is not just a themed restaurant. You can pick up a book to read, play games, or even root for your favorite team while watching a game.
One thing that is pretty interesting about this location is that they have multiple rooms that you can even book for private events. You can hang out with your friends in the detention hall, living room, or rent out the entire restaurant.
Portsmouth Book & Bar
You can be surrounded by books while you eat and drink at Portsmouth Book & Bar, located at 40 Pleasant St in Portsmouth, NH. According to their website, Portsmouth Book & Bar is not only a bookstore, cafe, and bar, but also a live music venue.
The downside is that it is not open daily. Portsmouth Book & Bar is closed on Sunday through Wednesday. However, you can relax with a book and drink in hand while attending one of their beat night poetry jams. If you have any extra books, you can also try to sell them to the bookstore here (maybe it will pay for your drink).
If you love books, food, and drinks, you may want to start planning a trip to one of these places. Grab some friends and check out some authors you may not have read before.
