A man who allegedly assaulted two juveniles who live at his Seabrook apartment complex was being held without bail at Rockingham County Jail on Wednesday night.

Rockingham Village Apartment complex resident Scott Dunn, 57, was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of simple assault.

Dunn was held on preventative detention and appeared before a judge at Rockingham County Superior Court on Wednesday.

Dunn's alleged criminal behavior was revealed after a juvenile told police an "older" man grabbed them as he tried to lure them into an apartment at the complex on July 28.

An investigation revealed additional similar incidents involving other juveniles who live at the complex, according to police officials.

Police said at the time of his arrest Dunn was out on bail for a charge of receiving stolen property.

"This incident stresses the importance of educating children about the dangers a stranger can impose. We are thankful the juveniles and witnesses came forward, so we could make today’s arrest," Seabrook Police Chief Brett Walker said in a statement.

Walker asked anyone with additional information on this case to call 603-474-5200.
