This hidden gem of a store has everything one could need when it comes to metaphysical supplies.

Tucked away on Sheafe Street is Deadwick's Etherial Emporium, a small store that describes itself on its Facebook as "The Seacoast's best kept magical retail secret." It's part of Pickwick's Mercantile which, in addition to the title business (another favorite), is comprised of Lady Pickwick's, Pickwick's at the Banke, and Fezziwig's Food and Fountain. All of these places are worth visiting, and possess a unique historic charm unlike any other shops in the area. The employees even dress in period garb.

From a vast selection of crystals to tarot decks, incense, herbs, books, candles, decor, and more, there's always something interesting to check out at Deadwick's, even if you aren't into what the shop's Instagram calls "magickal curiosities." The employees are helpful and knowledgeable; one of them gave this writer recommendations as she chose her first crystals (rose quartz, hematite, and aventurine were eventually selected). The shop even won a TripAdvisor Travelers Choice award for 2022, according to Facebook.

The below WMUR video gives viewers a special look inside, and does a great job at capturing the essence of the place.

Deadwick's has also had resident tarot readers, tea leaf readers, and psychic mediums, conducted seances and other similar events, and worked with Roxie Zwicker of New England Curiosities. There's always something new brewing, so be sure to stay up to date by checking out their Facebook page.

Also, can we talk about the interior of this place? It's so freaking cool. That said, guests are encouraged not to take photos inside, as it disrupts the spirits.

Deadwick's Ethereal Emporium is open on weekdays 11am-6pm, and weekends 10am-6pm. To learn more about this unique spot, click here.
