In normal times, I would appreciate this photo. But in the times we are living in right now, we NEED this photo. It seems like every time I turn on the news I hear about another mass shooting, missing person, or senseless act of violence. When you are someone who can't help but take on the weight of the world, it can be very overwhelming.

Contrary to popular belief, kindness is alive and well! There are still good people doing good things and they deserve some time in the spotlight if you ask us.

Exhibit A: Officer Tim Rivet:

When I saw this photo pop up on my Instagram feed my heart melted in a straight yup PUDDLE. Even with her mask on you can tell that little Olivia is smiling from ear to ear.

According to the Instagram post on the Salisbury Police account, Officer Rivet was patrolling Broadway in Salisbury yesterday when he came across Olivia and her parents.

Apparently, Olivia and Officer Rivet bonded because the next thing you know, Olivia is getting a special look inside Officer Rivet's patrol car. According to Olivia's parents, she hasn't been able to stop talking about the experience or her new friend since it happened.

Who knows? Maybe she will become a police officer one day just like her good friend Officer Rivet!
