Guest Stabbed, Robbed at Exeter Inn early Monday
A guest was stabbed during an alleged robbery in his room at the Exeter Inn early Monday in a targeted attack, according to Exeter Police.
A female and two males entered a room at the hotel on Front Street around 3 a.m. and stabbed the man in the leg and also showed a firearm, according to Exeter Police Chief Stephan R. Poulin. The three suspects fled the hotel and have not yet been apprehended, according to Poulin, while the guest went to the front desk to report the robbery and call 911.
“This appears to be an isolated incident with a victim who wasn’t chosen at random. It was a targeted event and we do not believe there is a threat to the public,” Poulin said.
The chief did not disclose what was stolen from the guest.
The guest was known to at least one of the suspects, Poulin said. He was taken to Exeter Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information about the robbery and stabbing is asked to contact Exeter Police at 603-772-1212.
