Hampstead, NH Crash Brings Down Power Lines

A multi-vehicle crash brought down wires and caused a vehicle fire in Hampstead Saturday morning.

Hampstead Fire Rescue & Emergency said everyone made it out of the vehicles involved in the crash at Brown Hill Road & Checkerberry Road around 11 a.m., according to

Several loud bangs could be heard in video of the crash scene posted in the comments of the Rockingham Alert Facebook page. Crews were able to quickly get the fires out. One person was transported via ambulance from the crash scene, according to Hampstead Fire Rescue & Emergency.

The Rescue did not disclose the circumstances of the crash.

The road was closed for several hours while Eversource made repairs to the wires.
