Hidden Gem: Walk These New Hampshire Woods Finding All the Unique Art Sculptures

Did you know there is art within the woods and trails of Kensington, New Hampshire?

Weaved in and out of 10 miles of rolling hills and trails, dotting the landscape within the trees and land of the Alnoba retreat, are huge exhibits and installations.

Alnoba's website says its art collection is purposely sprawled throughout its grounds so we can literally experience art.

We can touch it and climb on it, and by doing so, hopefully leave refreshed and more connected to the natural world.  It's celebrating our outdoors while seeing it as an art form.

The art collection was created to be a place for everyone to approach art, be outdoors, enjoy Mother Nature's beauty and majesty.

Alnoba's art collection is privately owned by the creators and innovators of the Alnoba retreat, Harriet and Alan Lewis.  They add that

We also hope the collection here sparks creativity and inspires new thinking by bringing together artwork from around the world.

And that they do, with temporary installations and sculptures outside of their own collection.

Alnoba opened in 2016 as a place to gather, share, learn, celebrate, and transform.  Whether it's team leadership and development, concerts and performances, writing classes or meditation walks, art along the land plays a central role.

By the way, you can stay at Alnoba in one of their cabins, and don't forget to visit their sister organization: a year-round farmer's market down the road called The Farm at Eastman’s Corner.
