A Mega Millions ticket worth $3 million was sold in Maine Friday night.

The winning numbers drawn Friday night were 7-29-43-56-57 with a Mega Ball of 6 and Megaplier 3.

The Match 5 winning ticket matched the five numbers which is worth $1 million, but because the ticket played the optional Megaplier, it is worth $3 million. A second Match 5 ticket was sold in Missouri but did not play the Megaplier.

The ticket was sold at Westbrook Market in Westbrook Maine, Maine Lottery Deputy Director Mickey Boardman told Seacoast Current. The store will receive a $25,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The MegaMillions jackpot stands at an annuity value of $300 million for the next drawing on Tuesday with a cash option of  $206.7 million. No one has won the jackpot since the drawing on October 20. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 states.

The jackpot for sister game Powerball with an annuity value of $632.6 million ($450.2 million cash) was won in Wednesday's drawing by tickets sold in California and Wisconsin.

A ticket to win the Mega Millions jackpot has never been sold in Maine, according to the game's website. A group from Portsmouth won an annuity Mega Millions jackpot of $168 million ($108.5 million cash) in 2019.
