Police said a Rochester man hallucinated and fired shots that entered a neighbor's residence and vehicle on Friday.

Cory Ayers, 34, of Rochester, is alleged by police to have discharged five bullets from his firearm while hallucinating on illegal substances. Police said it appeared as though Ayers had been hallucinating that people were entering his Grove Street apartment prior to firing the shots.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, police said.

Ayers was arrested and charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon as well as criminal mischief. He was held on bail and transported to Strafford County Jail, police said.
