A pastry chef from Rye is in the running to be the next "Greatest Baker."

Courtney Couture works at Mezzanine Catering in Dover as their pastry chef and her desserts look absolutely amazing.

I had a chance to talk to Couture about this opportunity and her experience as a baker. She told me that she's been baking since high school (Portsmouth High School, Class of 2008). She then went to the Connecticut Culinary Institute.

Couture says part of the grand prize for winning the title of "Greatest Baker," in addition to a spread in Bake From Scratch magazine and $10,000, is spending the day with the Puffed Marshmallow CEO and a year's supply of Stuffed Puffs!

So, how did she hear about the contest?

"I found the contest just scrolling through Instagram one day and just figured I'd give it shot!" Couture said. "The other really important part of the contest to Courtney is the fact that Greatest Baker magazine is giving back to No Kid Hungry, an organization that means a lot to her."

We can help Courtney win this thing by voting daily right here.  She needs all of our support to advance to the finals this week.

You can vote once per day for free, or you can purchase "Hero" votes, which is donated to No Kid Hungry.

Couture is currently in third place, but she's still hoping to push to the top of the list!
