A Somersworth man who allegedly hit a person with his vehicle has been indicted by a grand jury at Strafford County Superior Court in Dover.

Neury Amparo, 34, is charged with two Class B felonies for reckless conduct and conduct after an accident. He faces up to 14 years in prison if convicted.

According to court paperwork, Amparo hit Eric Lamper on Dec. 13 in Somersworth after he drove his vehicle at him.

The indictment says Amparo knew or should have known that he had just been involved in an accident which resulted in bodily injury to Lamper, but he failed to immediately stop his vehicle at the scene and provide his name, address and driver's license number to Lamper or respond to the nearest police department to provide a police officer with that information.

Amparo was indicted on Sept. 17.
