People who live and work in Portsmouth are getting excited for the 13th annual Stiletto Sprint which raises money for youth mentoring programs.

The event will be happening on Saturday starting at 2 p.m.

During the stiletto sprint, people run, walk or strut in heels during a 40-yard dash. Money raised goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire.

You can see some of the fun in this video from 2017:

On Monday, members of the Portsmouth Police Department posted about the upcoming event and included a photo.

"Now, perhaps more than ever, the mission and the impact of Big Brothers Big Sisters are evident and urgent! #KeepKidsConnected," the post says.

People can register for the sprint or donate to the cause by clicking here.

The rain date this year is Sunday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m.
