NH Hospital Shooting

A report prepared by state Safety Commissioner Robert Quinn said that fencing has already been installed to block the entire front entry way at the hospital on the ground of the State Office Complex in Concord.

Retired Police Chief Bradley Haas was honored with a procession through the city of Franklin to the celebration held at Winnisquam High School in Tilton.

Governor Chris Sununu told the crowd that Bradley Haas, a former police chief in Franklin, was an "absolute hero" who kept gunman John Madore contained to the lobby despite not having a weapon.

The vigil will take place at the soccer field at the corner of S. Fruit & Clinton Streets in Concord.

Attorney General John Formella identified the gunman as John Madore, 33. Madore entered the hospital Friday afternoon and fired a 9mm handgun, killing security officer Bradley Haas.

According to State Police ,the gunman entered the lobby of the mental health facility and fired a shot at Bradley Haas, who was a security guard.

Shots rang out around 4 p.m. at the 184-bed state hospital on Clinton Street.
