Get ready to laugh, cry, and order takeout from Zanzibar. After a 2021 that did not go as planned for the duo known as Tenacious D, the band has decided to fatten up their already announced 2022 summer tour schedule with some additional dates. One of those dates will take place at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford on Tuesday, September 13th.
In 2021, Tenacious D celebrated the 20-year anniversary of their landmark self-titled album. Prior to the pandemic, Tenacious D had planned an extensive tour to reunite with their fans, but many of those shows ended up scrapped. The extension of the 2022 summer tour will allow Jack Black and Kyle Gass to do what they do best, potentially playing the greatest song in the world in every city they visit.
In 2021, Tenacious D also released a new single "You Never Give Me Your Money/The End". They've also spent the last several years entertaining their fans with things other than music. That includes a Tenacious D movie titled "Post-Apocalypto" as well a graphic novel in print as well as narrated by Tenacious D themselves.
Tickets will officially go on sale for their Tuesday, September 13th tour date at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on Friday, March 11th at 10am. Tenacious D will joined on this leg of the tour by support act DJ Douggpound.
