What a way to end their 2021-2022 Alpine Ski Team Division 1 Season, especially with everyone's altered lives during this pandemic.  As the world starts to emerge even more, and Team USA at the 2022 Games in Beijing continues with skiing struggles, the Portsmouth High School Girls Alpine Ski Team said "We Got This!"

The girls' passion and drive superseded any pandemic barriers, and their teamwork and friendship drove them to fight for this title that they came so close to winning last year during the 2020-2021 high school alpine ski season, according to Foster's Daily Democrat.

The Portsmouth High School Girls Alpine Ski Team is the New Hampshire Division 1 State Champs. Can I get a WOO HOO.

This is only the second time in Portsmouth High School history that the Girl's Alpine Ski Team has won state, according to the Portsmouth High School Athletics Department.  The first New Hampshire state win was in 2015, so this year's state champs are an entirely new team.

So you can imagine, when they arrived at Gunstock Mountain Resort for the state championships, they had to dig deep, use any nerves as energy, and hit the course with confidence.

Even more exciting for the team, the Portsmouth High School girls beat the Bedford High School Bulldogs Girls Alpine Ski Team. The Bulldogs have won state the last four years, even slipping past the Portsmouth Clippers last year at state.
