Truck Catches Fire, ATM Stolen at 3 AM in Somersworth, New Hampshire
It was a very busy few minutes in the middle of the night in Somersworth early Friday morning
First was a vehicle fire on Washington Street at 3:01 a.m. that Somersworth Police called suspicious.
A few minutes later at 3:04 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at the Service Credit Union two miles to the south on Penny Lane, and found that the ATM had been removed. Security video showed that a pickup was used in the removal of the machine. Both the truck and the ATM were found a short distance away.
The suspects were gone when police arrived. Police did not disclose if there was any cash removed from the ATM or if there is any connection between the two incidents.
Both incidents are under investigation by not only Somersworth Police, but other local and federal agencies.
