A meteorologist at the National Weather Service says this weekend will be a good one to get outside and enjoy spring in the Dover area.

Hunter Tubbs said temperatures should be in the upper 50s to lower 60s during the day on Saturday.

Although there are a few chances for scattered showers in the afternoon, Saturday night will be in the low to mid 40s, so people can enjoy outdoor dining or a stroll through downtown.

"It should be pretty nice, not a lot of wind, either," Tubbs said.

Sunday should be the pick of the weekend in the Dover area.

Tubbs said temperatures will likely be in the mid 60s and it should be sunny.

"Late Sunday night and into Monday will be the next chance for rain to come in," Tubbs said.

For Monday morning commuters, Tubbs expects scattered showers until noon. Temperatures should reach well into the 50s during the afternoon.
