A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of man who abducted a woman in Brentwood.

Peter M. Curtis, 34, is considered armed and dangerous, has been involved with recent high speed pursuits, and has a history of arrests including, assaults, burglaries, drugs, larcenies, and trafficking prison contraband. He has connections to northern Massachusetts and the Portland area.

Brentwood Police said Curtis kidnapped the woman randomly at gunpoint in a public place. She was not harmed and has since returned to her home.

Curtis has warrants for his arrest on kidnapping, criminal threatening with a deadly
weapon, and probation violations on a prior narcotics conviction.

He is described as 5 feet 9 inches and 210 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has at least four tattoos including one on his chest that reads JAVE and a cross and star on his ankle.

A reward of $1,500 is being offered for information leading to his location and arrest.

The U.S. Marshals Office said anyone seeing Curtis should call the U.S. Fugitive Task Force at 603-225-1632 or 800-877-WANTED-2 and not try to apprehend him on their own.
