A Dover man could spend the rest of his life in prison after he allegedly distributed images of nude boys and men together.

John Linville, 78, whose last known address was on Picnic Rock Drive, allegedly shared the lewd images via email on March 25, March 27, April 8 and July 13 of 2020.

In one of the digital photos, two juveniles appear to be engaging in sexual intercourse while being watched by a much older nude male. In other images, adult men are touching boys inappropriately, according to court documents.

Linville was indicted by a grand jury at Stafford County Superior Court in Dover on Sept. 16 on six counts of distribution of child sexual abuse images. Each Class A felony carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.

Linville is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 14, according to court documents.
