An Amesbury woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding a bicycle late Friday night in Salisbury.

Salisbury Police Chief Thomas Fowler said Rebecca Bartczak, 39 was riding on Folly Mill Road around 11:15 p.m.when she was hit by a small pickup truck carrying a camper.

The camper became dislodged after the crash.  The pickup was found by Hampton Falls Police in Kensington about a half hour later.

The crash remains under investigation. Fowler asked witnesses or anyone with information about the crash to call 978-465-3121.
