Good Samaritans went into the chilly waters of Lake Massabesic on Sunday morning after a car rolled from the parking lot.

Video shows the red Mazda sedan slowly roll over the curb and down a small incline into the waters edge at sunrise. Auburn Police told Patch of Londonderry that bystanders who watched the car go into the water ran over and pulled the man, who was the only person inside, out.

A second video showed the car being pulled out of the water with a special crane that lifted it over the rocky shoreline and placed it on the grass. Dire crews can be seen placing a boom in the water to keep gas and oil from the car from spreading.

Resse Hatin, who took video of the car rolling into the lake, told WMUR that the driver was driving slowly in circles and in an overall bizarre fashion in the parking lot.

Auburn firefighters told WMUR the man was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
