Donald Trump to Make Campaign Stop at UNH
Former President Donald Trump will make a visit to the Seacoast region with a stop at the Whittemore Center at the University of New Hampshire.
On its X account, the NH Journal reported that the 2024 presidential primary frontrunner will appear on Saturday, December 16. NBC Boston reported the campaign event at the venue with a capacity of 6,500 will be at 2 p.m.
Trump has been in New Hampshire at least six times since announcing his re-election campaign. He holds a substantial lead over Nikki Haley in three recent polls:
- CNN New Hampshire Primary Poll: Trump 42%, Haley 20%, Chris Christie 14%, Ron DeSantis 9%, Vivek Ramaswamy 8%
- Monmouth University/Washington Post: Trump 46%, Haley 18%, Christie 11%, Ramaswamy 8%
- Emerson College Polling/WHDH: Trump 49%, Haley 18%, Christie 9%, DeSantis 7%
The reports come as Governor Chris Sununu said on WFEA radio Monday that Asa Hutchinson, Doug Burgum, and Ramaswamy "gotta go" and drop out of the campaign. Burgum pulled the plug on his campaign Monday.
