  • Horne Street will be closed to through traffic between Glenwood Avenue and Redden Street from 8:45 to 10 a.m.
  • Whittier Street will be closed to through traffic between Sixth Street and Glenwood Avenue from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
  • On-street parking restrictions will be in effect on the entire length of Conifer Commons and on portions of Sixth Street and Horne Street on Sunday morning. Limited event parking is available at the school. Those attending the event are encouraged to park legally on the surrounding neighborhood streets.

The race, which benefits the Horne Street School Parent-Teacher Group is named after Frances "Fran" Hopkins who was the school's nurse for 26 years. She retired in 2016 and died from COVID-19 in 2020.

The Board of Education voted in August to add Fran's name to the school's official name.
