Dover, NH Man Charged With Assault By Prisoner

A Dover man is facing up to seven years behind bars after he allegedly assaulted a female officer at the county jail.

David Nesbitt, 43, was indicted by a grand jury on June 17. Prosecutors say he pushed and pulled at Off. Jackie Nesbitt on April 16 while being held in custody.

Off. Jackie Nesbitt's shin was bruised during the incident, according to court records.

County Attorney Thomas Velardi confirmed on Monday that David and Jackie Nesbitt are not related.

David Nesbitt is scheduled to be arraigned on July 22.
